What are Polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides are biostimulators which means they kick start regeneration in the skin and are like food for the cells. As well as providing hydration like other skin boosters, they also increase collagen and elastin production, are antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Although they have recently become a sensation in the aesthetic industry, they have been applied in regenerative medicine since the 1950's to aid in the recovery of burns and wounds. These injectable skin treatments are crafted from DNA fractions sourced from salmon. Prior to use, the DNA undergoes thorough filtration, sterilization, and ultra-purification.

(This treatment is not suitable for those with a fish or shellfish allergy)
How many sessions of Polynucleotides will I need?
Typically 3 sessions are recommended for best results, 2-3 weeks apart. The rejuvenating effects of Polynucleotides are long-lasting, with maintenance sessions recommended every 6-9 months for enduring skin health and vitality.
When will I see results?
Most people will see instant brightening in the area treated followed by improved skin quality within a few weeks of their first session. Maximum results will be seen after 60 days following your course of treatment.
Is Polynucleotide treatment safe for all skin types?
Yes, polynucleotides are biocompatible and safe across various skin types and conditions. Polynucleotides used are purified, making them free from other components, such as proteins, which can trigger an immune response.
What to expect during a polynucleotide treatment appointment:
Prior to treatment, the skin is cleaned thoroughly and numbing cream applied.
A runny gel containing polynucleotides is then injected into the skin using either a very small needle or a flexible, blunt tube called a cannula.
Following treatment, you may notice some temporary puffiness, redness and bumps for 24-72 hours depending on the area treated and the technique used.
What should I do after polynucleotide treatment?
Any redness should decrease over a 24 hour period.
Refrain from touching the skin with hands for the rest of the day.
Don’t apply foundation or creams over the treatment area for 6 hours after your treatment.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours or hot tubs.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment.
For 2 weeks after treatment: No saunas, tanning booths, radiofrequency, IPL, laser, or any other heat treatments near the treated area.
Always wear a broad spectrum, high factor (30 or above) SPF.
Bruising can be helped by applying arnica cream.
