"Building patient's confidence and smiles"
I understand the barriers patients may face when looking for dental treatment and so concentrate on creating a space that patients feel listened to and confident they have chosen the right person for their care. I am committed to delivering high-quality, honest general dentistry.
My passion lies in crafting beautiful smiles, achieved through aligning teeth with Invisalign and enhancing their size, shape, and colour using techniques like teeth whitening and composite bonding. However, I also recognize that the foundation of a healthy smile is paramount. I firmly believe in addressing dental health concerns before undertaking cosmetic treatments and prioritize the maintenance of healthy smiles.

Nothing is more rewarding than receiving a selfie from a patient delighted with their new smile. Hannah, an NHS doctor, often neglected doing things for herself due to her long, stressful working hours. She came to me feeling disappointed with her smile. Although there was nothing technically wrong with her teeth—most people would say she had nice teeth—Hannah had never been truly happy with them. She wanted to know what could be done.
Hannah appreciated my non-invasive approach and wanted to ensure her teeth remained healthy. After thoroughly discussing treatment options, we decided that Invisalign, whitening, and composite bonding would best achieve her goals of improving the position, shape, size, and colour of her teeth.
Six months into her Invisalign journey, Hannah's teeth were in a more favorable position. The next step was home whitening to enhance the colour. It was important to achieve a shade she was happy with before starting the composite bonding so that I could match the composite material to the colour of her teeth, as composite bonding does not whiten afterward. Hannah completed the whitening process over three weeks, followed by a week to let the teeth settle.
We then had a 2.5-hour appointment for her composite bonding to improve the shape and size of her teeth. Hannah is now committed to a maintenance plan, understanding that composite bonding requires yearly polishing to improve longevity and will eventually need replacing. She is dedicated to wearing her retainers nightly to maintain the position of her teeth and protect the composite bonding from chipping, as we also noticed she was grinding her teeth at night.
Hannah's experience shows how comprehensive, patient-focused treatment can transform a smile and enhance confidence and well-being.
Katherine reached her 40s disliking the white patches on her teeth. Despite her father being a dentist, the only available solutions in the past involved drilling away the patches and covering them with tooth-colored fillings or veneers. Understanding the importance of preserving healthy teeth, Katherine had come to accept the white patches as a permanent feature.
As Katherine's children's dentist, I got to know her well over the years. One day she confided in me that her self-esteem had worsened, with her smile always being a contributing factor. She asked if there was a non-invasive way to improve the appearance of her teeth. I was pleased to tell her about ICON, a resin infiltration treatment that removes or disguises white patches without injections or drilling. It's completely pain-free and non-invasive, working by changing the light refractive index to blend the patches with the surrounding tooth color.
We decided to start with a two-week course of at-home whitening. I explained to Katherine that initially, the white patches might appear more pronounced, but as the surrounding teeth lightened, the contrast would diminish. Following the whitening, Katherine came in for a single appointment for the ICON treatment. No injections were needed; instead, we used a rubber sheet to isolate the teeth and applied different gels to wash and dry them. Finally, a resin was placed on the teeth and set with a blue light. The entire process was pain-free and took about two hours to treat her front six teeth.
Katherine was delighted with the results, and her confidence received a real boost. A few days later, she came in to thank me again, sharing that she had received numerous compliments on her new, radiant smile.
Maria, a dedicated mother of three beautiful young girls, had been bringing her family to me for dental care for a couple of years. Like many busy parents, Maria prioritized her family's needs over her own and had not considered the appearance of her teeth a priority. However, she was unhappy with the position of her teeth and one day, she asked me what we could do about it. Despite her dissatisfaction with her smile, Maria's teeth were healthy, and she had received very little treatment in the past.
We decided to start with Invisalign to correct the alignment of her teeth. I explained that once her teeth were properly aligned, we could re-evaluate and consider additional treatments such as whitening or composite bonding, especially since her teeth were a bit worn, which might become more noticeable once they were straight.
After 10 months of Invisalign, Maria's teeth were in a much more favorable position. However, as I had predicted, the wear patterns on her teeth made them appear slightly uneven despite the improved alignment. When evaluating a smile, it’s essential to consider three main factors: alignment, shape/size, and color of the teeth. While Maria's teeth were now aligned, she still wasn't completely satisfied with their appearance.
We discussed her options and agreed on a two-week course of whitening followed by composite edge bonding to restore the worn edges and create more symmetry. The photo below shows the results after Invisalign but before bonding, and the final outcome after bonding.
